The Beaumont Chamber Foundation's Leadership Beaumont Alumni Committee is hosting a luncheon on "Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace". The objective of this training is to emphasize the benefits of diversity in the workplace meeting the challenges of self-assessment and commitment to cultural awareness, diversity and inclusivity. At the conclusion of the presentation, participants will be able to:
1. Define diversity and inclusion and their impact in the workplace;
2. Identify how diversity and inclusion benefits our teams; and
3. Learn ways to effectively communicate with a diverse group while being inclusive of all.
About Our Speaker:
Jacqueline K. Gunner is a proud graduate of Prairie View A&M University’s Roy G. Perry College of Engineering. Gunner began her career as a HR-Business Analyst in Houston, Texas and found her niche in employee engagement and training. In 2016, she joined the Personnel Department with the City of Beaumont where she’s turned her passion into her purpose as a Sr. Personnel Generalist. Jacque is currently pursuing her Senior Human Resources Professional Certification and is an active member of Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and HR Houston. A life-long Southeast Texan, Jacque is an enthusiastic member of her community and enjoys traveling.
