U.S. Chamber Awards the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce with Top Award
Beaumont, TX – The United States Chamber of Commerce today awarded the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce (GBCOC) with 5-Star Accreditation for the second consecutive time, ranking the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce among the top Chambers in the Nation.
This top honor recognizes the GBCOC for its sound policies, effective organizational procedures, and positive impact on the community. “Of the approximate 7,000 Chambers in the U.S. only 120 receive 5-Star Accreditation, and receiving the distinction twice, places the GBCOC in an elite group of Chambers.” Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce President/CEO, Bill Allen said, “Countless hours over eight months were spent compiling information to complete the accreditation process. We could not have achieved this level of success without the support of our dedicated Board of Directors and outstanding volunteers.”
The accreditation process analyzes nine areas of the organization; including Governance, Finance, Human Resources, Government Affairs, Program Development, Technology, Communication, Facilities, and Benchmarking. The Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce received a perfect score on Governance, Facilities, and Benchmarking.
Founded in 1903, the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce serves members and the community as a catalyst to promote the economic growth of Beaumont and the surrounding areas.
