The Beaumont Chamber Foundation's Leadership Beaumont Alumni Committee and Lamar University is hosting a luncheon on "The Art of Networking". Want to learn how to network more efficiently and effectively? Attend this luncheon to hear from our guest speaker and panelists who are master networkers to learn their tips for successful networking and how to build professional relationships.
About our Guest Speaker, Mary Alice Kibodeaux:
I grew up in a family-owned grocery store business as one of six children. Family is very important to me. I have 3 children and 5 amazing Grands. I am very competitive and love sports, especially coaching basketball. After earning my degree in Communications, I was employed for 21 years for a consumer goods company. Most of my tenure was as an account manager/sales manager. Then I purchased a promotional products company and sold after 10 years. In 2014, I became a Sales Associate/Assistant Manager at Howell Furniture. I was in the Million Dollar Club for 5 1/2 years and left for a short period to assist a friend with a Sharp Dealership. In 2020 the owners, recruited me back as the General Sales Manager. Howell’s is a 63-year-old company, locally owned and operated with three retail stores. My career has been great, but now I’m having the time of my life! I love the challenges and growth opportunities we are embracing in our company. We have implemented the Howell 5 program which is focused on immediate recognition, positive attitudes and following the fundamental flawlessly. We operate with a customer driven sales approach where needs analysis and sketching are key, measurable tools to ensure our success. I love making a difference! It is exciting and motivating to help people achieve their goals and help them be wildly successful. The biggest thing I have learned in management is the art of diplomacy….LET OTHER PEOPLE HAVE YOUR WAY! The easiest way to do this is to ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS AND STOP TELLING!
This luncheon will be catered by Courville's. We will also have a photographer on site to do complimentary headshots.
