The Greater Beaumont, Port Arthur, and Orange Chambers of Commerce came together to host the first local legislative event in 2018: Navigating the Neches. This collaborative event welcomed state legislators and their staff to our Southeast Texas community to educate them about significant topics in this region. Participants had the opportunity to take tours of the waterways vital to the Texas and U.S. economy, attended informational sessions, met with local business and community leaders, and learned about the fantastic Southeast Texas culture. For the 2018 Navigating the Neches Legislative Tour, we focused on three main areas: Healthcare, Industry, and Coastal Restoration.
